Albums Of The Month: April
We’ve reached the end of what has proven to be a pretty solid month for hip-hop fans. Heres what <A> found to be the tightest.
ALBUM OF THE MONTH
ATMOSPHERE – When Life Gives You Lemons, Paint That Sh*t Gold
This caught me as a surprise as I’ve never really been much of a fan of their previous albums, but the concepts and blending of unique rhymes and beats made this album an instant classic.
BLUE SKY BLACK DEATH – Late Night Cinema
Earlier this week the duo dropped their 2nd instrumental album, and 4th album over all In LNC and once again they’ve proven the fact that Kingston and Young God together stand as one of the most formidable duo’s in the industry. This album exemplifies exactly why BSBD make my top 5 current producers in the game list.
ASOKA – The Underground Artist
Some of you may recall Asoka from the track “Everything” off of the Limited Edition version of “Orator Colossus” others may be familiar with his previous mixtape appearances and street albums, we’ll hes returned with a vengeance this month with this stand out release. Bolstered by high profile guest appearances and stunning beats provided by producer savant Battleme, this album is something you should definitely check for.
TRADEMARC – Inferiority Complex Chapter One
Broken away from wrestler turned rapper John Cena, Trademarc returns to drop a very solid solo effort.
9th PRINCE – Prince Of New York
Back with that grimmey Killarmy sound 9th Prince puts forth another strong effort, the albums only downfall is that its running time is quite short.
All in all, a really good month for hip-hop.
